We Have Answers

This work explores what lies beyond the veil through images of found spaces and decay. The use of text guides the viewer to question what is seen and unseen, known and unknown.

Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by religion, specifically evangelical Christianity. Topics of death and spirituality were constantly discussed and debated. As a result of this upbringing, I often find myself seeking a response to the question of what lies beyond this life, and I have a desire to explore different cultures and beliefs in searching for the answer. We Have Answers resulted from this attempt to grasp the meaning of life and death.

This work explores what lies beyond the veil through images of found spaces and decay. The use of text guides the viewer to question what is seen and unseen, known and unknown. Another thread in this work is the use of dead animals. Those who meet or know me often speak to my straightforward nature to the point of bluntness and my fascination with the macabre. My work is at times similarly blunt, while moving between the seemingly straightforward and ambiguous. Ultimately, fuck around and find out.

Warning: This project incorporates dead animals which might be disturbing to some viewers. All animals photographed passed through uncontrollable circumstances.
